The Viper 200 by Seagate
is a world class tape drive based on the Ultrium format of Linear
Tape-Open technology (also known as Viper Ultrium Format). Viper
200 is designed to exceed your backup requirements with enormous
capacity to easily back up your data, enterprise level reliability
to insure that you can get to the information when you have
to, and ultra-high speed to manage the ever shrinking backup
window.
The Viper 200 tape drive delivers up to 200 Gbytes per cartridge
(compressed) of exceptional data protection. With a compressed
transfer rate of up to 115.2 GBytes per hour and an MTBF rating
of 250,000 at a 100% duty cycle, data is protected with extreme
speed and reliability. A 3-year warranty and Seagate’s
REACT rapid replacement program covers Viper 200.
