The Seagate "Cheetah
36ES" series 36.9GB Ultra 160 SCSI hard drive in our high
quality external enclosure. The drive features a 10,000rpm spindle
speed, 5.2ms access time, a 4MB cache buffer, and a five year
manufacturer's warranty. The Cheetah 36ES benefits from significant
performance enhancements with Seagate's Advanced Multidrive
System (SAMS) that optimizes performance in server and RAID
applications, and G-Force Protection, a drive enhancement that
protects the drive's data from external shock. The Ultra 160
SCSI hard drives are capable of data transfer rates up to 160MB/second,
they have a 68-pin connector, and they work on Wide, Ultra Wide,
Ultra2, or Ultra 160 controllers at the controller's maximum
speed.
To achieve 160MB/sec burst transfer rate, an Ultra160 SCSI controller
card is required. The external enclosure has two standard Ultra
160 SCSI 68-pin connectors, a 40 Watt power supply, a cooling
fan, a 16 position SCSI ID switch, and an Ultra 160 active terminator.
Case dimensions are 2.7" x 8.25" x 11". For this
external hard drive, you will need an external SCSI cable.
