The Barracuda 36ES2
is an ideal solution for entry-level workstations and entry-level
servers that blends Seagate's best drive technology from its
IDE/ATA products and high-end SCSI drives providing an unbeatable
combination of price/performance value. The Barracuda 36ES2
benefits from significant performance enhancements with Seagate's
Advanced Multidrive System (SAMS) that optimizes performance
in server and RAID applications, and a Non-operating Shock of
350Gs to help assure data integrity during shipment and movement
around the office.
The Barracuda 36ES2 features a 7200rpm spindle speed, 7ms
access time, 2MB cache buffer, and a three year manufacturer's
warranty. The Barracuda 36ES2 utilizes the 68-pin Ultra 160
SCSI interface which is capable of data transfer rates up
to 160MB/second, and is backward compatible with Wide, Ultra
Wide, and Ultra2 controllers (will only support the controllers
maximum transfer rate).
The Barracuda 36ES2 comes mounted in our high quality external
enclosure. The external enclosure has two standard Ultra 160
SCSI 68-pin connectors, a 40 Watt power supply, a cooling
fan, a 16 position SCSI ID switch, and an Ultra 160 active
terminator. Case dimensions are 2.7" x 8.25" x 11".
